MANILA, Philippines — The number of deaths caused by flooding due to shear line rainfall rose to eight on Monday night, according to the latest report issued on Monday by the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC).

Five of the deaths were caused by drowning, one was due to cardiac arrest after the person was rescued. The causes of the two other deaths were still undetermined. Read more…
